Pritam Dumbré is an international arbitration and commercial disputes professional, legally trained and based in London. He is licensed to practise in India and has been an Advocate since 2022, with over 3 years’ experience in litigation and dispute resolution.

Pritam pursued dual undergraduate degrees in History and Legal Science, followed by a Master’s in Political Science and a Bachelor of Laws. Upon receiving his first licence to practise, he gained over two years’ experience in case management and documentation. Following his qualification through the All-India Bar Examination in 2024, he supported counsel across more than 20 civil and commercial disputes, while developing a professional focus in international arbitration.

Pritam is an alumnus of the 2024–2025 cohort of the School of International Arbitration at Queen Mary University of London, graduating with an LL.M. in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution.

 

Before joining HPA as an Editor, Pritam served as its UK Contributor, monitoring developments affecting the English arbitration landscape and reporting extensively on legal, academic and industry conferences. He maintains an active publication record across multiple international arbitration platforms, including the HPA Blog, Kluwer Arbitration Blog, Jus Mundi and London VYAP.

He is a regular participant in arbitration forums and institutional events, including those of the LCIA, ICC and CIArb, as well as London International Disputes Week and London Arbitration Week. His interests include investor–State disputes, arbitration in the film and creative industries, and art disputes.

 

Pritam is fluent in English, Hindi and Marathi, with functional proficiency in French.
